After every thought...

After every fall we take,
Before every move we make;
We think about our lives, and how to live them.

After every spill we give,
Before the past makes us relive;
We remember hard times, and try to forget.

After every shed tear.
Before realizing our every fear;
We act like we're not afraid, and back down.

After every hit we throw,
Before the truth is even known;
We are fools in every way, yet never admit it.

After every love we let in,
Before we even let it really begin;
We end our hope, and wish we never said goodbye.

After our memories fade away,
Before we even begin a new day;
We wish we could relive the good times, and die trying.

After every moment we mess up,
Before we think of anything but;
We loose all hope on sanity, but never really remember.

After every drop of blood that's shed,
Before we even get the scars out of our heads;
We feel the pain again and again, but never really want it to end.

After every step we slowly take,
Before we even make another mistake;
We apologize for the pain, and forget we were ever alive.
