My Beloved

by Hazel   Sep 3, 2007

When I look at the horizon
I see not a line but a question
When I gaze upon the heavens
I see not the stars but oblivion

What else is left that the eyes could see?
What else is left that mirrors the feelings
that be?

When I shout to the world
I hear not echo but mourn
When I speak what is right
I hear not pleasure but scorn

What else is left that the heart must feel?
What else is left of life to reveal?

But then your every tear awakens me
Your every grin my glee
Your presence completes me
Your touch my recovery

Who else but you my Beloved Son
Who else but you my Forever One
