TWIN TREE

by Hazel   Sep 3, 2007

She cries
as the tree glows green in the morn
as the tree invites birds for a home
as it offers patience to the thirsty
as it fights on its own
she cries
as the tree gives hope to the dying
as the tree enlivens life
as it sometimes makes mistakes
as it blindly nurtures pride
she cries
as the tree plays with nature
as the tree pities itself for its strength
as it despises reality
as it dances with the wind
she cries
as the tree thirsts for discernment
as the tree dries up
as its leaves leave its branches
and as its warmth helplessly dies
