Connected

by Beautiful Chaos   Sep 3, 2007

The majesty of the oldest tree,
The heart of the wildest beast,
We are everything we've come to know,
On ourselves we feast.

All we feel and all we see,
Is all we'll ever be,
All we touch and all we know,
Will never set us free.

Trees give life, we like to breathe,
But forests, they are fading,
Save ourselves, you wouldn't think,
It'd take too much persuading.

All connected in this chain,
But money talks and time is slain,
By bitter words and sharpened tongue,
Dissolved within the acid rain.

Water meant to quench a thirst,
Polluted by our own self worth,
I guess she never stood a chance,
Mother nature, planet earth.

From bugs to frogs, wolves to bears,
Great and small should hold our prayers,
They are the life we wish to keep,
We must straighten our affairs.

I like the comparisson between the trees and the forest. The constant comparisson.
I guess we can be more then we see, so that is up to our imagination in a way, but I like the way you expressed it.
    Good work
