When my friends would ask me,
I'd say I've moved on.
But truly these feelings inside,
Are not yet gone.

There were times I'd space out,
Just reminiscing through the past.
Wondering and wondering,
Why we didn't last.

You meant the whole world to me,
But I had to let you go.
It was hard to make this decision,
When one part of me said yes, but the other said no.

When I finally saw you,
My heart skipped a beat.
I was so happy,
That finally we could meet.

But then I saw her,
Standing right beside you.
I just stood there,
Not knowing what to do.

I found the time,
That set me on cue.
But when my mouth opened,
All I could say was I love you.
