Liars And Battlelines

by hippiehxc   Sep 4, 2007

I apologize for these bleeding words, you having no one to hold,
And all the lies I seem to have told.
It's a shame that all these lines sound the same.
Boundaries have to be set, and you're the one to blame.

Take me by the hand, lead me somewhere.
Call out my name so I can't resist, but it'll get us nowhere.
It's hard not to believe a liar when he's saying your name.
He's writing a fake love story about us that'll be his claim to fame.

We've been falling for so long, it's the same situation every time.
It's hard to hear you say, "I won't stop until you're mine."
I'm just your play toy in this lie called love. But now the roses are black.
As much as we want to fix this, there's no going back.

The redness has rotted away, along with our chances.
We should pack up and leave this mess, never taking second glances.
Our only choice is to leave everything and live this lie.
But I won't be tagging alone anymore. You can go without me this time.

There's no such thing as relief in gunshots.
There's never much truth in he loves me, he loves me nots.
I'll take my leave, and let you go about your business.
I'm done with the lies. I'll leave with a swipe of the blade, and with the devil as my witness.
