Don't Know Why I Cry

Glaring listlessly into space
Tears forming in my eyes
Blinking them back furiously
Trying to hold up a disguise

Sighing in frustration
Misery gripping my soul
Don't know how much longer
Can keep up this self control

Wanting nothing but one thing
To close my eyes and sleep
To take a break from this world
And stay like that for weeks

Defeat slowly crushing this soul
Tired of always holding my head up high
Giving into uncontrollable sobs
Realizing, don't even know why I cry
