Sheri's Secret

by Carrotgirl   Sep 4, 2007

Things that you wont share
Secret things inside your mind
Just need to get inside
Heaven knows what Id find

Always such a deafening silence
Cant you tell me Sheri?
Problem shared a problem halved
Things you find so scary

Barriers spread across the road
Paths that you wont tread
Doors that are forever locked
Concealing all that you dread

Its that cancer within you
That eats you from inside
I never see you shaking
Its fear that you hide

I know you could die
Im not afraid to grieve
Cant I hold your hand?
Dont ask me to leave

How could I abandon you?
Why would I ever go?
Here for the long run
A truth you already know

Still there is that silence
I cant grip that hand
Face this peril all alone
Shadowy figure where you stand

Sheri Owen I love you and if you ever read this you will realize your tearing me apart.
