PHOENIX

by Hazel   Sep 4, 2007

Like feather that came from nowhere
A sweet surprise through the air

Furtive bravery, but freedom none

It glides upon reality's land

Like morning dew over all beauties

Or a magic that befriended thy fears

It's a vision of fantasy

But not until thy grip, thy kiss

Like burning phoenix through thy stream

Inflame thy heart, thy spirit, thy skin

Its source the sun unceasing

Enlivens life, but emotion bleeding

Like tears of joy and silence of grief

Prisoners of truth, religion, and longing

Yet unimaginable force binds the souls

A love immensely greater, pure, and whole
