You're lost little girl

by Daisy if you do   Sep 4, 2007

Weeks are just too long
Grip tighter trying to hold on
No relief from debt filled waters
Single mom of two beautiful daughters
You're lost little girl

Promises of finer things
Broken hearts no in between
Wander streets in search of home
No one knows where you come from
You're lost little girl

Stretch what a dollar buys
Head held up you will survive
Scraping nickels from your purse
Praying to God it doesn't get worse
You're lost little girl

Through faith you find relief
Daily prayers on bloodstained knees
Blessed are we for our sins he set free
A little girl lost no more, saved for eternity

I enjoyed this poem greatly, it made me sad from the beginning, then lifted my Spirit by its end. We are never lost with our best friend and we are empowered to get the most out of each day, Faithfully.
