Where I belong

by Courtney   Sep 4, 2007

When the lights are off
And the spot light is dim
You can see the stars
Shine bright from within

I close my eyes
To the darkness that surrounds
I submerse myself
In Earth's natural grounds

Among the whispering trees
And the flapping of birds' wings
It is here I belong
A place that my heart sings

Here I can feel the wind
Caress up against me
There's no building or fences
As far as the eye can see

Then rain begins to fall
One of nature's great gifts
The rabbits find their warmth
From the dirt they sift

To early has the sun
Risen another day
Sending me back
To my world's insane way
