Endless Void (The beginning of the End)

by Eclipse   Sep 5, 2007

Benign thoughts,
Destroyed by time,
and wilt like flowers
as pages turn.
------------------------------
------------------------------

He knows too well,
What lies ahead,
but ignorance consumes his head,
'One Life' they say,
'One Life' is all,
but all he sees is emptiness.

Within his reach,
theres nothing there,
His goal, his aim, his destination,
All gone without a trace.
He stands alone,
with no remorse,
Regret is not an option.

He chose this life,
He knew the cause,
His pain is his to suffer,
Once ruined,
His life cannot recur,
Demise controls his fate.

As time goes by,
and space extends,
the world seems far too real,
Hes one in many, yet
one in few,
who live their lives this way.

Without a care,
and no self-worth,
He sees what hes become,
The single thing,
he once held dear,
has crumbled into pieces.

Straight into the depths of hell,
he looks, but
finds it sooner,
to notice it for what it is,

His life,
an Endless Void

    'He knows too well,
    What lies ahead,
    but ignorance consumes his head,'
Accidental rhyme...thats the only thing that annoyed me. Upset the flow a bit.
Otherwise its like woah. Good vocab, and topic, hmmm, a mary-sue close to home perhaps? ;)

Great poem. Love the first stanza.
