Last man standing.

by Helene   Sep 5, 2007

You are praying in the streetlight,
Walking on the dead wishes,
With hopes to be the last man standing,
Suddenly you fall.
You are playing different roles
With all these turns and twists,
But no one offers to take your hand,
So you begin to crawl.

You are climbing all these mountains
Trying hard to keep the grip,
Barely hanging on to what you wanted,
Now you slip.
You are holding aces in your hand,
Gambling just going wrong,
And you just canâ??t seem to understand
How you been losing all along.

And now youâ??re desperately crying out
For miracles unheard of,
Bedding more than you can lose,
Begging to be tough.
And you keep on pretending,
Keep on playing tall,
With hopes to be the last man standing,
Suddenly you fall.

Yours

And suddenly there on my knees, I begin, begin to admit how hard it is for me to breathe.... 5 / 5 ..
