Hanging

by Kelsey   Sep 5, 2007

Sitting in the quiet darkness
The only light; from my phone
The only sound;
My fingers rasing against the keypad.
Then, silence and the antisipation of your reply
Don't let me fall asleep
I'm hanging on your every word.
Even in my dreams
You're there.
I dream of the last night we were together
Your fingers brushing against my arm
The wait of your arm around the small of my back
The touch of your feet against mine
I miss it. I miss you.
I miss the way you put the headphones to my ear
And the way I watch you hold you guitar
Even when you think I'm not noticing,
I am.
It's funny
Even when I sleep,
I'm hanging on your every word.

    I like your poem,
    especially :
"Then, silence and the antisipation of your reply
    Don't let me fall asleep
I'm hanging on your every word"

    How very true!
