The Music

by Mousie   Sep 5, 2007

Soothing, reassuring
Comforting and true,
Gentle and welcoming
Handsome and new.

Relinquished with strength
A forte of might,
Severs the quiet
Rebel take flight.

Recoil to calmness
Turmoil released,
Sweet and serene
Anger hath ceased.

Tranquil yet passionate
Hearts flutter so,
Romance of tales
The music so low.

i was listening to classical music last night trying to get the juices of poetry flowing and ended up hearing this beautiful piece that was real quiet and serene first then got loud and then back to soft, as you read above. i put emotions and fantasies to the music, told a story with it, and this is what i came up with, enjoy!

    Wow.
I really liked it. I think it ended too soon, maybe another stanza or two?
But, you did a wonderful job hun.
It's flawless, excluding the abrupt ending.

I love this piece! The flow was flawless,
and your word choice was right on point.
    A true pleasure to read.
