Last Breath

by Broken Inside He only wants to hurt me   Sep 6, 2007

A tiring sensation,
The wind knocked out of me.
I open my eyes,
A familiar sight....
Hands around my neck, bruises on my fragile body.
Tighter and tighter they become,
The pain becoming clear,
How much longer will this last?
Day after day this occurs,
I learn to just take it,
To never fight back.
Nights soon follow,
Tears almost too familiar.
But for today i sit and shake,
Hold back my fears....my tears.
I hear him,
Calling out my name.
Closer and closer he comes,
A knowing smile on his face.
He just stands there,
A tear slips from my unwilling eyes,
A cry from my unknowing mouth,
I plead and plead,
Begging for his mercy.
Red flashes in his eyes,
As he begins to violently shake me.
Tears spill from my eyes,
I begin to cry out, uncontrollably.
Faster and faster my heart begins to beat,
I now know my fate.
A strong sound of a snap,
So startled is he.
My body hits the ground,
My eyes close forever.
One more life taken,
The price to pay, for his ruthless way.
