Sanctuary To Sanctuary

Flickering lights in the darkness that act like people.
Friends that are so more portable than the steeples.
Lighting my path even through the brightest days.
New ones and old ones that are alive to me always.
Giving strength, hope and experiences that help me.
If only for a short while they quieten the insanity.
Reminding me where I came from and could return.
If ever I should let the spark die and not to burn.
There for only a short duration and then they go.
Imparting to me their life's lessons so I will know.
Step in the right direction so we don't lose our way.
Sanctuary to sanctuary we see each later in the day.
