Life of a Poor

by ely boy estoque   Sep 7, 2007

How many of you want to be poor
Who among you wants to soar?
Who among you do not afraid of a single roar?
Nobody wants to live down the earth's core.

Yes, I am a beggar!
But I had been too far,
Farther than no one ever was,
For I had taste the life of anxiety and bias.

I had been to thirst,
I had been to hunger,
I had been to tears,
And most of all I had been to death!

I had passed through fire,
I had gone through rains,
I had passed through mountains
I had been through seas.

I work in a damp,
I live and sleep in a swamp
And since birth,
I still eat dirt.

Yes I am poor
But I am the richest in peoples praise
Yes I am poor
But I am the bravest of them all.
