Religion

by BehindThisSmilex   Sep 7, 2007

Religion, the cause of
prejudice, cause of
hate, the cause of
war, and the cause of
world depression.
Religion solves nothing
we have to bomb countries
because of a belief.
People believe in a religion
because they can't face the truth
they can't lead a good life
without believing in a mystical creature.
When someone dies, they die
the body rots in the ground
there is no soul
that floats up to heaven
and lives for all eternity
evolution has been almost proven
proven by scientists
who spend their lives
trying to prove it.
If there was no religion
there could be world peace
people wouldn't hate
because they don't believe the same
people wouldn't kill
over something so small and unimportant
but is made a big deal
because people force their opinions.
If everyone believed the truth
life would be a simple and happier
for everyone who believes in themselves
and has faith for something real
something they can reach out and touch
instead of a made up character
in a book.

Yes religiong is KILLING us. God said we were made with the instinct of knowing that he is real. We were made to love and be loved by him..but people's own opinions have made religion. This isn't how God wants his people to operate. He wants a heart fully abandoned in love for him and his people. Were so blinded and sleeping.

    Wake us up God!!

Cause of war? Hehe...I doubt that one. But overall, poem was raw, and powerful. Good job, I must say.
Everyone's got the right to their own beliefs...and I think you showed yours well today.
