Feelings

by Beauty Within These Pages of Darkness   Sep 7, 2007

As I walk through the untidy backstreets of London I see poverty
I feel sad.
I look down to see a child crying for a mother,
She is lying lifeless beside her,
I feel sad.
I look around the streets. I see fighting, punching, harm caused and gang members falling to the ground,
I feel sad.
I see the homeless drinking out of control, they start to stumble and fall to the path side, where they are throwing up for most of the night,
I feel sad.
Life is sad to those who have diseases and knowing that one day they may die.

As I walk on further where I see children playing, couples holding hands,

I feel happy.
Mothers walking with their newborns, feeding the ducks,
Makes me feel happy,
I see lovely green fields full of wonderful wildlife, from the beautiful butterflies to the howling dogs,
I feel happy.
I walk on to Trafalgar Square
I see people from other countries enjoying themselves in our country,
It makes me feel happy.
The families feeding the ducks, as they come up to greet them,
I feel happy.
Life is happy for those who are joyful, caring and enjoying life.
These people look after one another and get satisfaction from helping.
