Me

by e darby   Sep 7, 2007

Hectic lives, and hectic days.
Chaos reins supreme.
Happiness in OCD's
Where did I leave my dream?

Mislaid, and left, my family
Are here to keep me busy.
I live to make them function well.
Who am I? I am Lizzy,

And I'm a wife, and I'm a mum.
I work to pay the bills.
I run the home, and every day
My head, and shoulders kill,

But I won't change a single thing.
Routine works best for me.
If I let things build up inside,
Then how can my life be

Significant? I thrive to keep
Things running smoothly on.
And they will know how to survive
The day that I am gone.

I'm proud of how I keep it all,
And how they love me so.
If ever things have got me down,
Well, they would never know.

I understand how order can keep us sane.. Maybe, though, sometimes, we need to take a step back, and take some time for ourselves..? Good poem.. I hope that this is the start of you showing us your talent! xx
