Red Wedding

by HollywoodSmile   Sep 7, 2007

A couple stand in a church, in front of the pastor. holding hands. looking at each other. myself, standing behind the woman. the preist asks a question. not a sound is heard but the click of a camera. a flash goes off. i walk up in front of the woman. i stare at her long flowing white gown.

"it'd be a shame to get something on that. especially something thicker than water." i smile.

she looks at me as if to say 'what?' and 'i know you dont like him, but if you say anything i'll beat you'. another falsh from a camera goes off. i pull up the hem of my own long gown, to reveal a deadly item. i hear gasps in the audience. questioning glances. they all know whats coming. i turn back to face the woman in the long white gown. she knew this was comming long before. she could have stopped me. but she didnt want to admit to herself that i was a demon. that she'd given birth to such an awful creature. a murderer. i hear screams. i see red. i fall. i stain her lovely dress. my dress as well. but i dont care. shes gone. he's gone. im gone. and the last thing i heard were screams of horror, cries of terror. and i am satisfied. i close my eyes and let the pain of the wound fill me. i embrace it. and they all think they might have seen a smile cross my face, for the first time in years. and i'll admit it; they were right.
