My Black Heart

by elana   Sep 7, 2007

THE SUN IS BLOCKED BY THE BLACKNESS OF MY HEART
IT ONCE WAS ALIVE BUT NOW IT'S DEAD AND RIPPED APART
LIKE AN OLD BLANKET...RAGGED AND TORN
RIPPED AT THE EDGES, DIRTY AND WORN
SO PLEASE EXCUSE ME WHILE I KISS THIS WORLD GOODBYE
I'VE GIVEN UP BEFORE I EVEN DECIDED TO TRY
STAY HERE AND WATCH MY INSIDES CRUMBLE TO ASHES
COUGHING UP BLACK PHILTH AS MY WHOLE WORLD CRASHES
I FEEL LIKE AN ASHTRAY...SO UNKNOWINGLY ABUSED
THINKING THE ONLY PURPOSE IN MY LIFE IS TO BE USED
I FEEL THE PRESSURE OF THE PAIN AGAINST MY SKIN
PRESSING WITH EVERY OUNCE OF STRENGTH I HAVE WITHIN
ALL I HAVE IS DEAD SO I MIGHT AS WELL BE TOO
PULL YOUR HANDS AWAY THERE'S NOTHING ELSE YOU CAN DO
IT'S SO DEPRESSING FOR YOU TO WATCH ME WITHERING AWAY
MY SPIRIT BREAKING DOWN SO SLOWLY AS I FEEL IT DECAY
I WEAR THE COLORS OF DARKNESS ON MY BODY SO I CAN HIDE
YOU CANT SEE BUT IT'S JUST A REPLICA OF WHAT I LOOK LIKE ON THE INSIDE
..........SO LONELY COLD AND DARK
FROM ALL THE PAIN THAT HAS BUILT UP INSIDE MY BLACKENED HEART
