My Hollow December

by Krista   Sep 8, 2007

Maybe winter is not for me,
his icy bite too cold.
But the last thing I want to do is set you free,
and watch you in someone else's hold.

Can you speak to me empty snow?
all I hear is the silence screaming.
Give me something else to know,
other than your absence beaming.

Because for you
my head is screaming,
my body shakes,
my heart is bleeding,

You smother me in a blanket of nothing
and I would die to hear you say something,
anything.....
So I'll bury my heart in this snow
and it's your choice whether or not to let it go.

But before we part,
I shall promise thee
I will sing you a hollow memory.
