Race

by Katelyn   Sep 8, 2007

We're all here for the same reason
but none of us know why we're here
we ask and we ask
but no one answers
we're all confused
and no one helps
we scream and yell
we're trying to get free
but no one cares
we're left to fend for ourselves
we beat on the walls of terror
but what we're really scared of
is what to do once the walls are gone
once we're no longer separated
separated from this and what's out there
the place where we want to be
until we find out what's really out there
who your friends really are
and who they aren't
it's all messed up between cliques and groups
no one really cares what you go through
and the one person you think does care
doesn't know you exist
and it sucks so bad that it's hard to breath
you look everyone in the face and
all you see is disappointment
and by that point it's hard to finish
to finish the race that you go through everyday
the one the lord sends intentionally on your way.
