The Night You Walked Out

by Francine   Sep 8, 2007

I walked so far
I forgot about the pain
I couldn't breathe
I needed you to wait
So I kept walking
Farther and farther away

I drove for hours
Looking, searching
Wondering, Worrying
Hoping I would see
Where you were
Where could you be?

If I found you
I'd forget why I was mad
Grab you and hold you
Tell you just how much
I really do love you
Just want to feel your touch

Why'd I push myself so far?
Why'd I push you so far?
What if it's too late?
When you get there
It will be the end
And I will be nowhere

You'll never come back
And I will be left
To sit and drown
In my tears
Die alone
My worst fears

But I was wrong
You made it there
You were ok
I am ok
You came back
We are ok.

You walked for 3 hours
I drove for 4 hours
You're aching now
I never slept that night
We both paid the price
For a pointless fight
