TWIN TREE II

by Hazel   Sep 8, 2007

She cries...
as the tree captures her once more
as the tree questions her scorn
when tiny spark passes through
when old brown twigs rest at dawn

she cries...
as the tree finds peace at night
as the tree stares at star lights
when tears hide like morning dews
when fears covered by strong roots

she cries...
as the tree fights the storm
as the tree dries under ozone hole
when its trunk bends down the floor
when it seeks refuge to a wall

she cries...
as the tree abhors its bounty
as the tree confuses thought
when silence calls for freedom
when life longs to leave home
