Fairy Dreams and Lullabies [Triquatrain]

by Twisted Heart   Sep 9, 2007

The clock was set, the hour met
Upon the full moon's glow
A whisper breeze, caught with ease
Beneath the willow's throw.

The thrashing limbs, swish and bend
Against the winter snow
An icy glare, come's from nowhere
To chill the starlit show.

Caught just a glance, of pixie's dance
Upon the wash of white
The sparkle wings, sweet fairy dreams
Come calling on this night.

Inside the scene, that's so serene
I chance to take a peek
Then close my eyes, winter's lullaby
Now lures me off to sleep.

Good poem. I just have one itsy bitsy problem . . .

'Then close my eyes, winter's lullaby'

Lullaby seems like you were trying to force it into your poem, almost as though you thought of the title before you wrote the poem and felt the need to put it anywhere. It kinda threw me off but not really. Just be a little more careful about forceful words.

But this is a very beautiful poem. I really enjoyed it. You don't read very good Misc. poems anymore, which is kinda sad. All you read now are love and depressing poems. This was a nice change of pace. Great job :)

I can see that you like to write with poetry foems
And to be honest you use them good

    My fave lines are;

Caught just a glance, of pixie's dance
    Upon the wash of white
The sparkle wings, sweet fairy dreams
    Come calling on this night.
