Sing For the Setting Sun

by Weeping Wolf   Sep 9, 2007

I do not fly with the ravens and the crows
I am no star of movies or Broadway shows
I'll live when I want to, and die when I must
Thank god's grace for birthday's because...

We must run, run,run
off the cliff into the wonderful sea
And with one grand splash I'll sing
Sing for the beloved setting sun

I'll stay with wolves in moonlight and laugh
At uncertainties of future, and regrets of past
For I will rush forth with my night eyes and love
And into my birthday's sunset I will plunge!

So while the Lovers water earth
The Fighters load their guns
The Blue Faerie once told me
"Death will bring you back to God
just like the inevitable summer sun"
And with that, we lost our breath and jumped!

Oh, and it was such a wonderful release!

Because no matter what we've done
I've accepted that we all are really no one.

Alot of wonderful image's there, some very creative analogies of life, once you accept that you are merely a child of nature, you can be at peace knowing that you have no false expectations to live up to.

Great art, I think I will need to read this poem a few times to understand fully.
