Claps

by Tushar S Gokhale   Sep 9, 2007

I walked a journey of thousand miles...
world clapped for me,
beautiful faces clad with smiles,
I couldn't say a wordâ?¦.
how could I say, I was so tiredâ?¦

I wanted you around, while I was walking,
Wanted a pat on back â?¦some tender talkingâ?¦
No one was there on a deserted way..
..road was long and home was away
I felt aloneâ?¦amongst stones and thorns ..

A blessing in disguise, as it was..
Am I a looser ? I always thoughtâ?¦.
..and kept on walking in search of shine,â?¦
to catch the goal that was mine ...

The claps sounded good..
made me taller, as I stood â?¦
But, I don't want you to clap for me..
I walked for myself , not for theeâ?¦

..Oh people! Don't shower this love on me..
Give it to one who needs more than me..

Clap for the one taking the first step...
So on his way, he won't break..
Talk to the one who's lost his heartâ?¦
Pat the one weeping in dark..

So no one says this to you againâ?¦.
"I walked alone with a lonely pain"..

Indeed people are quick to praise those it is easy to praise and forget those in need of support, a very wise poem, great art.
