Forever Autumn

by Elynnka   Sep 9, 2007

The leaves are falling... yellow... orange... red...
As I sit here jaded in my empty bed...
The raindrops falling... one... two... three...
As I sit here thinking about you and me...

Do you remember the days when we would hide in each other's embrace
Seeking shelter from the rain that was slowly dripping down our face?
Do you remember the cold wind blowing our hair out of place,
As we closed our eyes, kissing and veiled by autumn's grace?

Do you remember when, among falling leafs, we would hug
And the coldness of the rain and wind would melt into our love?
Do you remember thunder and lightening striking up above
As ravens seemed to mourn the death of a summer dove?

...forever autumn...

I remember... I remember every little drop of autumn rain
That slowly poured along your face leaving nothing but an autumn stain;
I remember our whispers slowly fading into croaking of a crane
That was passing by us trying to escape winter's approaching reign...

I remember... I remember every little drop of rain that fell
As we were soaking wet, embraced underneath a stairwell;
I remember how wonderfully your figure fit in autumn's pastel
As I placed a ring upon your finger, mesmerized by autumn's spell...

The leaves are falling... yellow... orange... red...
As I sit here jaded in my empty bed...
The raindrops falling... one... two... three...
As I sit here thinking about you and me...
