Funeral in an Asylum

Delapidating prison,
needle thin incision;
bitter burning eclipse of bleeding eyes,
staining a sea of nothing,
with cold vomit and crimson concrete.

Lacerated,
the many days into the wall.
Moon's illumination,
scalpel from the smiling sky,
slowly sinking into my skull; so much humiliation,
this is the fairytale where I can't cry.

Carving morbid clocks
into skinclothed padded blocks,
repeatedly raped by these fu_cking tick-tocks.

Shovel in hand,
licking up puddles of tear-stained sand,
not my tongue,
but breathing like pollution into the remaining lung.
Faded shadows, almost nothing,
holding my spine as I
drag my veins along the edges of a screaming stop sign.

Here's her lips,
still tasting like metaphorical vomit,
stitch them as tattoos unto my own,
and I'll decay without my bones;
even in psychological suicide we make each other smile.

This is something like a funeral,
six and a half foot deep hypodermic pit...
...warped by the apathy of an asylum...
....even insanity makes love to scum.

    My favorite poems are the ones that take me on a journey within the written word, and you took me on a frightenly scary, yet kind of exhilirating and refreshing ride, in a oh my god get me the hell outta here kind of way...that i REALLY think is cool, and that is a talent you should cherish....

    Wow! I can't even find the perfect words to describe the brilliance of this poem. The flow of the words and the description of this poem is so very captivating. I am so going to add this to my favorite poem.. You really blew me away with this stunning piece. I can't even find my favorite part of the poem.. And I really like the title of the poem. Unusual and unique.. The imagination of your mind is incredible.

    Definite 5/5 from me but I wish I could give you more...

    Wow, I seen this posted on the main board and was so drawn into it from opening to close. Definitely amazed at your writing. I love dark poetry and this has got to be one of my favorites. (mental note to self to read more from you).
    As for the poem, I do not critique anyones poetry, and this yet is a perfect example of why. You cannot critique someones gift, because then it becomes your influence instead of their own. This poem was amazing and far from any kind of critique I could ever offer. Awesome Job, loved the imagery.

    Wow... Just a minute to catch my breath...
    This is so intense, so powerful... pure poetry! Every line contains so many emotions, and the imagery of the whole piece is so vivid and breathtaking. You're becoming better and better with each poem you write. Amazing piece, I can't express how much I like it.
    I could completely feel it, sense it like I was there...
    You're truly talented.
    I can't tell which stanza is my favorite, whole poem is so effective.
    I'm adding this one to my favs.
