Write

by Corinne   Sep 9, 2007

You cannot be a writer
If you never write
She said to me, quite plainly
One gray, wintry day
I sat and sipped my coffee
Considering her words

Try to banish the critic!
And silence the gnome
That peers over your shoulder
And makes your heart its home

Listen instead
To your whispering soul
It cares nothing for grammar
And does not need to control
Your pen's choreography
As it dances across the page

No one sits across from me though
It is only my own thoughts, echoing within
But do I listen?
No - never
Well maybe once in a while

For here is the evidence

There is a lot said in this poem
and much more to ponder over
no doubt our soul, hearts and
minds are the keys to our own
    incredible universe were the
miracle of dreams leads the way.

    Excellent read Corinne and thank
    you for sharing,
    Bogie
