The Galapagos

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Sep 9, 2007

I wrote this while on vacation onto post cards to family and friends. Enjoy.

The ocean's blue.
The foam is white.
The grass is green.
It's warm at night.
The sand is pale;
Unlike their skin.
We played cards;
We each would win.
The birds laugh while lizards leap.
All of the things are very cheap.
The children; plenty.
Textiles; galore.
You can hear the sea lions roar.
The crabs they crawl, some birds they dive.
Giggling children; so alive.
The hammock I'm in swings side to side.
Off to enjoy another boat ride.
