The Art Of Crying

by Timothy r   Sep 10, 2007

Tears may fall, but what do they mean
without love and hate thinly between
tell a tale and live with the consequence
of constant sorrow as your penance

Raised to know right from wrong
days have become frightfully long
admittance now a lonely pledge
weary of life on the edge

Forgiveness a stones` throw away
from those your lies led astray
swallow the pride that impedes
enlightenment at God`s speed

Tears may fall, but what do they mean
without comfort and love in between
shorten the days of constant sorrow
repentance begins on the eve of tomorrow

    Wow...
    This piece left me speechless...
It has some deep inner beauty and wisdom between the lines. The emotions are excellently expressed in the whole poem, and you did great job with rhymes.
The ending stanza left the biggest impression on me, it is so effective!

P.s- Thanks for the dance :)
