What are we afraid of?

What are we afraid of? Outcomes and reality?
Instead of fighting, we should settle it rationally.
Why do we get the idea that war will solve it?
Cant we just take the time to nonviolently resolve it?
All of the shootings, gangs, and social issues
And look at the resources were starting to misuse
If we love the world like we say we do,
Then why do we do nothing to keep our skies blue?
Theyre burning rainforests to manufacture things,
They dont think twice to see the beauty it brings
Ganged up on power, money, and greed
We dont see others starving in need
Are we oblivious to this material world we live in?
We see something we like and just give in.
More crimes, murder, and breaking of laws
The inflicting of more rules is the simple cause
The more laws we vote on to make,
The more crime this world will intake
What has happened? This world is falling apart.
But this chaos wouldnt happen if wed follow our heart.
Peaceful people in the world are currently minority,
But we should do something to make them majority
If we dont act soon, then we probably never will
And this world will fall deeper into a downward hill.
Violent media is ruining our lives
People stabbing us in the back with knives!
