He Knew It All Along

You were part of God's plan in my life
He knew it all along
When we both felt lost and alone
He knew together is where we belonged.

So often we searched for that special one
So many times we tried
And each time it failed yet again
We questioned Him and cried.

There's a reason for all things that happen
In each and every life
But that's so hard to comprehend
As we're going through the strife.

Your name was written in His book of love long ago
Right there next to mine
He knew that it might take a while
But our way to each other we would find.

He didn't place us far from one another
Simply for His own mirth...
He wanted us to prove to Him
Just how much our love was worth.

Now you'll give up everything you've known as normal
And Babe you know I'll wait forever
God is smiling down on us, saying
'I knew they'd be perfect together!'

With him on our side there's no one or nothing
That could keep us apart
Some months may have to pass
But you're already my husband in my heart.

Yes, you were in God's plan for me...
He knew it all along.
Far be it from me to question God...
He hasn't ever been, nor will be, wrong.

    OMG!!!! Dang it, i was so gonna write a poem abt this exact idea!!!! Ahhhhhh....and now you wrote it before me, i almost feel like you came and stole it from me very head!!! Ahhhhh...dang it. Oh well, very good job. You have no idea how spot on perfect this poem goes with wat i woulda said, had i been given more time to write this myself. Its fits my exact thoughts to a "T". Great poem.
