The last drive

by shadowknight   Sep 10, 2007

The wind roared,
I kept driving,
as fast as can be,
i had to run,
keep going faster,
it was all i had left in me.

The road rattled round,
like a concrete snake,
the tears trailed on the seats,
falling like the rain.

The night blew coldly,
looking down upon me,
laughing and sneering,
like the rest of the world.

My words were defenseless,
In the eyes of others,
We could not meet,
or even speak,
without nothing left to say.

The car picked up speed,
i whipped around the corner,
showing no mercy,
to the earths sweet wonder.

The next corner came,
my hands would not steer,
my mind would not work,
i looked upon my fate,
before i met it eye for eye.

My life was about to end,
i was about to die,
i braced myself for impact,
hoped my actions would explain,
Why i left the world,
why i hid so much pain.
