Dragons

by Dan   Sep 10, 2007

In ancient times past
In the halls of all races
A great power loomed
To stare them each in their faces

It was the dragon
Proud, mighty and true
And so I write this poem
And it is for all of you

How A Dragon Is Made

Talons of steel
A tail like an eel
Razors of scales
That coat them like chain-mail
Teeth made of swords
And a fiery maw
They are designed
To chomp and to gnaw
Majestically grounded
Yet they gloriously fly
Through the night
And through the rain
So they might conquer the sky
Their wings beat freely
As they glisten in the sun
Their minds are wise
Beyond countless years
They hold mystery, legend and fear
And so I thank 'ee
For giving me the chance
To write about dragons
And their wonderful dance

Se mor'ranr ono finna, se onr sverda sitja hvass, un se ono waise skoliro fra zar'roc!

The last bit is of the ancient language in Eragon by Christopher Paolini. It translates to:

May you find peace, may your swords stay sharp, and may you be shielded from misery!

I added that wiol ono (for you)
