A Tale

by Jeannie   Sep 10, 2007

Light descends to darkness
The luminousness of the moon
Gives an iridescent glow
To delicate skin.

An urgent need arises
The desire for fulfillment
Scanning the masses
For the selected mate.

A soul, full of life
The passion to be
A lover forever
A reason for this destiny.

A slight turn of head
Eyes that connect
A rush of adrenaline
We've already joined.

A delicate embrace
The feather touch of lips
The eyes that reflect
Acceptance and willingness.

The kiss of death
That brings eternal life
Exists solely between us
Like man and wife.

But the commitment
Is stronger for us now we two
Combining our lives
As we become one.

The desire now sated
The life force exchanged
Allows me to persue
My next victim.

    Wonderful imagery.

We sometimes pursue out of desire and then when our thurst is quenched we move on to new "victims". Not a happy thought, but one that I am sure is true for many.
