False Emotions.

by ABake   Sep 10, 2007

You show no emotion, you act as if you no longer care.
I walk away, I do not dare look back, you stand there.
This is the end of a new beginning; I smile.

I feel pain, no doubt I don't, but it's a good pain.
I now know I am strong; stronger than you.
You gave up, I didn't, I pulled through, gave you my all.

I put all our memories, into the back of my mind.
Al of the gifts, pictures and letters now put away.
I delete our pictures from my phone, text messages too.

I do not need any reminders of you, nor our past.
I know you felt the pain, as I walked away from you.
You still mean everything, except my sight is now clear.

To think I actually trusted you; I laugh.
Words meant nothing, now neither do you.
If only those words were real, if only they were true.

::The flow is horrible, but it's coming from my heart::

..Words mean nothing unless you can back them up..

I can tell this is definitely written from your heart. And that is key. The flow was a bit rocky, but by no means horrible. I felt a lot of caesura in this poem, and I think that worked well in it. Quite good.

    Keep it up!
    Take Care,
    Smiles,
