Wanderlust

by my name is Llama   Sep 11, 2007

Strong, irresistible impulse to travel by
hiking through snow as white as ivory.
Crystallized blue water like quartz glass.
Walking the great wall from dusk till dawn.
Canoing along the narrow canals of Venice.
Sitting at a cafe, sipping coffee, watching
the young lovers go by; lying in a field,
drowning in an enchanted sea of sun flowers.
Leaning against the edge of a cruising ship,
the night stars mirror the atmosphere; the soul.
Closing the album of her past without hesitation.
Her romance with the world's natural beauties,
have come to a close; now for the next adventure.

I am not usually into nature poems but this was diffrent, the word choice was descrpitive, and vivd, and the vocab was excellent, and the flow was perfect. again 5/5 for a job well done

I had to read this several times, but I like that in a poem. I like that it is thought provoking and actually makes you think. Though the reader can come to many different conclusions that is what poetry is all about.

Really well done. Very descriptive and it definitely painted a lovely picture..I liked how it was like memory flashes of a persons life and they were looking back on it prepared for the next great chapter. Great job and keep it up!
