Worth It

by MariSylvano   May 1, 2004

Thunder and lightning can't compare to our fights,
And those red-hot, angry, tearful nights,
When I scream at you and you throw it right back,
You storm out the door...but I know you'll come back,
Our love is stronger than anything I've known,
Your heart has made me blossom and grow,
And every time we fight we seem to get in deeper,
And the rocky road just seems to get steeper,
We talk it all out and cry together,
Say sorry, declare we'll be as one forever,
How many times have we been here before,
Tell me how many times have you walked out of that door,
Tears in my eyes as it happens all over again,
And yet we never stop to think this love causes so much pain,
Every time one of us leaves,
We reconcile and agree that without this love we can't breathe,
We cant live together, but apart is unthinkable,
Basically we're living out the impossible,
We're so foolish for love and for each other,
That we never could accept that the best thing could be "it's over",
My brain is telling me to give up and go,
But my heart is stopping and telling me no,
Tell me what is this thing that keeps us together,
Is it this beautiful dream of you and I, forever?
How long is this going to continue, how long,
This love is right but it feels so wrong,
Yet when you hold me in your arms I feel so complete,
I know we have to hold on, we're worth it.
