To you my love

by MPHO GODFREY RAMOSHABA   Sep 11, 2007

I dedicated this short poem to you my love.
There is misery and sadness.
In my fragile heart.
The tears coming out and moving along my cheeks,
Like The Great Limpopo River after heavy rainfall.

Ever since we fell in love,
The first time we met each other.
The first time when I say, love you and when you say you love me too!
28 March I recall.
The day, which I was born.
The day, which I always commemorate.

And I still see your beauty, your ever smiling face,
And this does not come out of my mind.
But today is a closed chapter.
The last chapter of our relationship.
The last chapter of our love!

But listen!
I loved you so much and you played me so much.
And why should we go on like that?
You made my life more difficult.
And you made a year thornier to me.
And I won't forget this anymore!

Pressure is what I felt.
Approaching you was like coming across a lion.
It gave me a tough time indeed!
You were not always sociable at all.
But sometimes you were!
And it is difficult to lose you my love.
But why not to lose you?

You didn't have much interest in me.
I will miss you and you will miss me too.
And miss the love that I had for you.
You were supposed to be mine for the first time.
And I was supposed to be yours for the first.
But this didn't happen.

Time will let me see where to go.
And find someone who loves me.
And mend my fragile heart.

Nothing will divide me.
I will still live like a king.
I will never lose my reputation.
And today onward you will be nothing in my life.
