Rest in peace, innocent boy

by MPHO GODFREY RAMOSHABA   Sep 11, 2007

(In the memory of the boy who died in a terrible way)

I will remember you as my acquaintance,
I will remember you as my companion,
I will remember you as my close friend,
And I will remember you as my former classmate.

When we were young long ago.
When we used to play childish games together.
Now how can you die without any guilt or crime you have committed?
Your death hurts everybody.

The world has now lost your ideas and your plans.
You were having a long way and long miles to go before you sleep.
You were not supposed to die now my friend!
But now you and your sorrow are dust.
Your spirit has passed away.

Now how can I live without you?
You were my homie, my neighbour, and my dying friend.
Your assassin and your enemies will be recorded in the Holy Temple Book.
They will not be forgotten.
God will punish them.

And there is only one way to go.
Death will do us all apart.
No one will live for ever.
And no one will run away from it.
Now rest in peace my dear!

Rest in peace!
Rest in peace!

Your death is like a death of animal been slaughtered.
But you are not an animal but the prominent figure indeed!
Let your soul rest in peace my dear.
Rest in peace!
Rest in peace!

Your face and your kindness will be remembered too.
And I will recall you as the mathematics comprehensive man
Your charms and jokes will be missed as well.
I can't stop the tears running down my cheeks,
Like Limpopo River after heavy rainfall
I feel like I have lost everything in my life.
Pain is what you have left behind.

Now rest in peace, my friend.
Rest in peace, innocent boy
Rest in peace!
Rest in peace!

That a nice sad poem also, i like stanza nine the most, as u mentioned there thats the killers will be punished, obviously they will be burnt in hell. We are sick and tired of this evil people who killed the innocent souls wiselessly, its real annoying.
