Many flags half-staffed

Today is 9/11
A day many people went to heaven.
Flags are half-staffed for the
innocent lives lost in the past.

Many dreams were shattered
nothing else mattered.
Today is a day to remember,
how are lives were changed.

Life should not be taken for granted.
Always appreciate one another.
Love your sister, your brother,
Your father, and your mother.

You never know when it's your time to go.
When it will be taken away from a war at stake
or even from someone's foolish mistake.
