Painful little star

by Arun Khan   Sep 11, 2007

What do you know about
Waking up feeling like dirt every morning
What do you know of this emotional drought
As the world hurts at every turning
Put yourself in role
How would you feel with no one
No one to hold when it's cold
And you feel tired every day
While you watch empty smiles fade away

Painful, painful little star
How I wonder where my angels are

As you put on your clothes
Wipe the tears from your dry eyes
And you become like all those
Superficial practicing the art of lies
You watch patiently
Listening to your heart
But you stare desperately
In the mirror while nothingness tears you apart
And it's all quiet inside
You don't know what to do
You've burned all the places to hide
And your conscience can only turn to you.

Painful painful little star
How I wonder where my angels are

Now as I told you yesterday, I simply love it. But I thought I'd just wright it in here, seeing you have no other comments on this masterpiece, just figured I'd might be the first to hand over the compliment ;P
