My heart was fragile from the start
And yet,
It grew stronger and repaired itself part by part
A mending process not easily achieved
My heart has survived things you wouldn't believe
But like Tupac said, "I kept my head up"
Like Jaheem said, "I never gave up"
At times it was hard to stay strong
Times like this I felt the most alone
I kept moving forward, facing the unknown
Through my long journey I know I've grown
I see life through new born eyes
I've accepted that at the end of life everyone most die
I'm going to make the most of my time
Because my life could be over at the end of this rhyme
