Tick tock watching the clock

by jasmine   Sep 12, 2007

Muffled silence escapes
dry cracked lips
bony fingers probe for answers
in the dark
limbs heavy and immobile
old lady, regrets, no dreams
no aspirations nor hope
she sits awaiting death
watching the clock
tick tock...tick tock
minutes into hours
time stretches for eternity
at long last deaths cold fingers
pull her deeper into
paralysis
she lets go of her worries
her death is just her birth
