Falling Paint Chips

Falling Paint Chips

blue green red purple
all blending into different colors
some simple some complicated
all a part of life

each swatch completing a piece of my mural
never fitting in perfectly
every memory wanting to stand out

these paint chips are unorganized
telling one where to go... another follows
thoughts becoming a jumbled jungle

colorful skies fall into place
ruby red heart slowly taking shape
this life beginning to look real

all these paint chips
falling from heaven above, sent by God
creating my mural of life

fighting happens all to often
dull chips overtake the place of the vibrant
beginning to see too much gray

balancing fruity and colorless
is proving to be difficult
few paint chips are holding my mural together

three main pieces remain intact
no matter what shakes or falls
they are always there for me

When my paint chips seem to fumble, tumble
more come in replacement as quick as a wink
my mural of life is hanging in the precarious balance
between fruity and colorless

I loved this. The imagery was great and I really enjoyed the overall hidden story in this. An interesting take on a poem to write about, but very well done as well.

I realy enjoyed this piece. to me it seems very metaphorical and i absolutly love it. made me think of life in ways i have not for a while... lmao!! well anywhos. the only thing i seemed to not like was the fact that there was little puntuation. not all poems need it. but i think this onee needs a little more to septerate certain peices and to make it flow better.

ps- sorry it took me soo long to get you your comment. been on a little down hill slope ... haha :-) good luck on your poems
